'I swear, Buhari is not corrupt,' Tinubu says


National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Friday, May 20, vouched for President Muhammadu Buhari's integrity, saying he won't loot Nigeria's treasury.



Tinubu gave the confirmation at the central command of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) in Abuja, in his offer to appease the worker's party to suspend its progressing inconclusive strike over the climb in fuel cost. 

The APC pioneer asked the bothered specialists to come back to the arrangement table with the legislature, including that without precedent for an extended period of time, work ought to believe the present organization with Nigeria's assets. 

"I can swear that Buhari won't touch a penny for individual increase. He has that character and uprightness to direct Nigeria," Tinubu said. 

The previous Lagos State senator conceded that the Federal Government's choice to build the cost of petrol was not appropriately imparted to worker's organizations.

"This is coincidentally, we should present history… the political history of the nation is not being taught in schools any longer. 

"Buhari is clear. We didn't say we won't have issues with him, however he has respectability. 

"They got SURE-P, however the main thing about SURE-P is corruption.‎ It was certain taking, beyond any doubt preoccupation… .
