Meow! Katy Perry displays cleavage in revealing bodice as she wears playful cat ears at launch of her CoverGirl collection

Her new collection of lipstick for CoverGirl is called Katy Kat.



And Katy Perry appropriately enough wore cat ears to the launch of her new collaboration on Sunday in New York.

The 31-year-old sported a plunging lingerie inspired top black culottes as she sported the playful headwear.

The hitmaker's gloss features darker shades, and in promotion of the cosmetic Katy carried around a pair of fake lips in dark chocolate hue.

, this is the first time she has served as an artistic director for a line, and her influence won't go unnoticed.

'After several wonderful years of being the face, I now get to create the face!' she tweeted on Friday.

Rather than avoiding any unnecessary risks with her first advertisement, Katy went for a dominatrix-propelled look that incorporated a fitted bodice highlighting set patterns, fingerless white gloves that hotshot her long dark nails, and a little bolt in her ear.

The star displayed sensational dark winged eyeliner and matte dark lipstick that are a sharp differentiation to her porcelain skin.

Addressing Vogue about the range of matte lipsticks and mascaras, Katy said that she 'needed to push the envelope with CoverGirl'.

'You know, a black lipstick or a blue mascara is very Tumblr—I told them, this is what’s happening online, this is what everyone’s Instagramming,' she explained. 

The star revealed that she gets all of her inspiration Tumblr, noting it is her preferred form of social media because it isn't a 'narcissistic social platform' based on likes.

The Dark Horse singer as of now has huge arrangements for the collection, which incorporates 13 demi-matte lipsticks and mascara in blue and dark. 

Katy said that she and her friends will be modeling the collection at Coachella this weekend, and she anticipates picking a 'topic for every day'. 

'One day we’ll be romantic Lolitas, the next day we’ll be vampires—and I’ll match my lipstick to that theme,' she said.

 Katy also plans on pushing the envelope at this year's Met Gala on May 2, where she said she will be wearing the line's Perry Panther, the same shade of black she models in her ad campaign.

Notwithstanding, her sweetheart Orlando Bloom, 39, may not be excited with her decision.

'It will be truly fun, and it's super design, you know—you see it a great deal on the runways nowadays. I as of now told my sweetheart we won't have the capacity to kiss, unless he needs dark lips!'
