PDP National Secretariat Locked Down by Armed Policemen [THE SUN]

The national secretariat of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja has been locked down by armed policemen, The Sun reports.

Party officials who just returned from Port Harcourt where a convention was held, were prevented from entering into their offices. The convention had constituted a caretaker committee with Makarfi and Obi as chairman and secretary, respectively. Ali Modu-Sheriff was kicked out.

Reports say the policemen, acting on instructions from above, stormed Wadata Plaza when they got information that certain members of the dissolved NWC, allegedly led by Sheriff, planned to hold an emergency meeting at the secretariat.
