Archbishop of Canterbury visits Buhari, pledges prayers
The Presidency has revealed that the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, on Friday, visited the debilitated President Muhammadu Buhari in London, United Kingdom, where he has been receiving medical attention since May 7.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, revealed this in an announcement made accessible to columnists in Abuja on Friday.
Adesina said the Archbishop visited Buhari, who he described as his friend, at the Abuja House, London.
The presidential spokesman quoted Welby as saying during the visit that he was delighted to see the rapid recovery Buhari had made from his health challenges.
The Anglican cleric was additionally cited as depicting the President's recuperation as a declaration to the mending forces of God, and reply to supplications of a great many individuals around the globe.
The statement read, “The cleric pledged to continue praying for both President Buhari and Nigeria.
