three-page handwritten letter by the late American rapper, Tupac Shakur, explaining why he ended his relationship with Madonna has been recovered and plans are underway to auction it for $100,000 or more.

On Wednesday, TMZ distributed segments of the letter—composed Jan. 15, 1995 at 4:30am that Tupac kept in touch with Madonna while serving time for a rape at Clinton Correctional Facility. 


In the letter, Tupac explained why he had to break up with the ‘Human Nature’ singer. He mentioned that it was because she is white, adding that he would have let down those who made him who he was if he had continued with the relationship.


A portion of the letter states, “For you to be seen with a black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting.

“But for me at least in my previous perception, I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was.”I never meant to hurt you.” You gotta read the entire note. It will go up for auction July 19-28 at Gotta Have Rock and Roll. Starting bid is $100k and it’s expected to fetch a lot more. The last letter written by Tupac sold for more than $170,000.
